Many people have participated in ceramics since the POA first opened. We always seem to have a lively, fun group, and we welcome newcomers at any time. Some folks like to work with clay, hand-building or “throwing” on the pottery wheel. Others prefer to work on molded pieces Greenware supplies and tools are readily available in Chico and Oroville. Paints and brushes are as close as Paradise
We have an onsite kiln in which we fire our art work. There is a nominal fee for firing to cover the electricity expense.
We meet in the Hobby Room, located in the Administration Building, on Mondays 1-4 p.m. and Fridays 10 a.m-1 p.m. There is no charge for the class and no special teacher, but help is available from anyone there.
