Bunco

Bunco

Bunco is played on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Racine Center. We start at 11 a.m. and usually finish around 2:30 or 3:00 p.m. Everyone is requested to bring their own lunch.

If you’ve never played Bunco and would like to learn a new game in about 30 seconds, this is the one for you! $3.00 is collected from each player at the beginning, this money is divided among the winners.

Bunco is played with three dice, the goal is to roll one, two or three of the numbers you are playing for at the time (such as ones, twos, threes, etc.). If you are rolling for ones, the number of ones are counted on each roll. If no ones are rolled by the first player, then the dice move to the next player. If three ones are rolled, that is a Bunco and counts for 21 points. A Bunco in a game usually assures a win for that round.

At the end of the play for the day, the amount of wins for each player are totaled. The money is divided between the winner of the most Buncos, most wins, second most wins and least wins.

Even though this is considered a “brainless” game, it generates a lot of noise and laughs. Everyone who plays it really enjoys it.
